well i know that most of u guys are facing problem running sof when u update the ATI catalyst to the latest version and yea that is too bad since u will stuck at old version and u wont get any updates , especially for the latest big cards which need all the latest updates to run the games smooth .

the problem is the open GL driver which i dunno what ati did make most of the opengl games doesn't work so will need to get that driver from an old version  

ok here's the solution i found :
-install any version of ati catalyst u want  u could have the latest one from .
-extract any old version of the catalyst (10.4 or older) and search for (atioglxx.dl_) get that file and put it in any folder , open cmd and get to the destination of that file and write     expand atioglxx.dl_ atioglxx.dll
that line will expand the atioglxx.dl_  to atioglxx.dll

or u could skip that part and just download it from here i upload it here   Media fire link
     its zipped so u will have to unzip it

go to ur sof folder and put atioglxx.dll in the same folder of the sof2fp.exe and ENJOY  :metal:

i got the newest one and no problems

i got the radeon hd6870 and yeah i cant play know
but i think i got now the oldest driver
because the card is not so old its the new serie of radeon
but okay yeah i got my old pc

intel pentuim duo core 1,87
3 gb memory
500 gb hardisk
ati radeon x1650 pro video card

so i will use that one i got them both on my desk
and yeah its sucky sucky that i cant play sof2 with my new computer
but no problem i trow the new one out of the window and play with the old one xD

No don't do that, downloading this file: ''atioglxx.dll'' and put it in your sof2 map (same place as the .exe file) should solve the problem....

yo lightning listen just try to run your game not from aplication from your unpacked game but take your sof cd(or virual cd if u downloaded iso file )open it and run sof from aplication that u have u have on cd..

will that help m8?
