Hi guys.

few weeks ago my computer started to act quite weird.
Im suffering from fps lag. when all is ok my fps sticks around 65. But it wont stay like that for a minute. Suddenly it drops to 15/20 or sometimes even lower. That makes it quite hard to play. Since i looked it up on goolge, i figured that i needed another videocard. i dont have the money to buy a new one, so i got one from my cousin. Full of exitement i plugged it in and restarted my computer to finaly game smoothly. But hey, guess again.. didnt work!
I tried to install game boosters and stuff like that but it also doesnt help. Now i`m sitting in the dark here about what im gonna do.
I dont have money to buy new components or whatever. So i hope a free solution will be there.

here are some of my computer details

CPU Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz, 3000 Mhz
Graphic card GeForce 7600 GS
2046 MB memory
windows vista service pack 2
DirectX9

hope you guys can help. Thanks

its not the memory problem you can lower the settings down its a fault in your software i got 2gb ram and everything runs pretty smoothly on medium/high.

Dude you got twice the computer and your in the same country as the server...

I'm playing with ati 4600 1gb,
1gb ram
opteron 170 (http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Dual-Core%20Opteron%20170%20-%20OSA170DAA6CD%20%28OSA170CDBOX%29.html)
XP

This thing was fine until I put in office so that gets shitcanned.
When I get some extra cash I might bump the ram to3gb
When I get some time I'll format the operating system again and reload it so its fresh.
Oh, I have not ran any bullshit anti-virus in 7yrs on this machine.
When it acts up I give it a frontal lobotomy.
Then it becomes a new computer again  Laughing

I'd suggest getting rid of vista;
Search vista in this forum and you'll find one thing:
Vista sucks donkey balls.

Thanks for your reactions guys!
Im not only having this problem in sof but also in any other game i play.
I dont have any money to upgrade my pc. And i reinstalled windows a week ago.
Drivers are up to date aswell. I`ll try to get windows 7 and see if the problem gets solved then.

Thankss!
