lol SOF UNIX Version???

<joke>
This version is still under construction. Problems with the video-drivers.
</joke>

I dont' think that any gamedeveloper have plans to think of UNIX as supported OS for their games.

btw: I use MacOS-SnowLeopard + Windows7 via Parallels and it works perfect.

Yeah ! Slackware is the best linux version  Twisted Evil . I'm used to it since version 2.3. I recently wrote a simple tool for 64-bit version that can be found here.

If you like Slackware, don't forget to look at http://www.slackbuilds.org, nor http://www.sbopkg.org.

You will find slackware package for WINE at alienBob's repository ftp://ftp.slackware.org.uk/people/alien/slackbuilds/wine/. In case of package for Slackware-64, you will need to install 32-bit compatibility layer (aka multilib) from AlienBob: http://alien.slackbook.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=slackware:multilib. If you install it this will give you an opportunity to try the tool I wrote  Cool

Id-Software always exists (http://idsoftware.com). In case of Quake 1, I don't remember exactly, but there was a native linux port of Quake 2. However it is not  available anymore. I tried it long time ago and I had some heavy  sounds problems. The Windows version of Q1 and Q2 run flawlessly under WINE. For Q3 and Q4, you will find native ports here and there.

cheers.
